FINAL PRE SEASON GAME OF UPCOMING CAMPAIGN

BUCKLAND ATHLETIC vs TIVERTON TOWN

Buckland Athletic take on TIVERTON TOWN at Homers Heath with a 2pm kick off on Sunday in their final pre season friendly before  beginning their current campaign with a mouth watering Charity Shield match versus last seasons runners up Bodmin Town.

The Tiverton friendly brings together a couple of old friends as Bucks' new signing Mike Booth will skipper the team for the day, playing against his old side with whom he enjoyed many successes.  Booth enjoyed 8 successful seasons at Tiverton before joining the Bucks to hopefully emulate the heights reached with the Ladysmead outfit.

Of course those eight seasons were all played under the management of recently departed Martyn Rogers, who will also be in the Home dugout for the game !   New Buckland Athletic Manager  was keen to contact Martyn on the news of his resignation from Tiverton. " Martyn has a wealth of knowledge & experience at this and much higher levels of the game, which could prove invaluable in the defence of our league & cup double" commented Steve Massey.

The ex Tiverton Town boss has been at their recent training sessions and both previous friendlies but Bucks' are keen to stress that Martyn has received many offers for his services and is weighing up his options before making any firm commitments on his future with Buckland Athletic.

Whilst off the pitch the club have recently announced their Very Lucrative looking Prize draw with the first prize being  sponsorship of the HOME strip for the 2010-11 season. 

One lucky winner will come away with the Sponsorship of the Home Jersey for the current season, valued over the past few years in excess of £4000.   There are currently approximately 20 companies particpating, with Commercial Manager stressing that anyone wishing to purchase a ticket can do so right up until the kick off on sunday.  The draw will take place at half time on Sunday.   Each ticket purchased will entitle the purchaser to at least a Matchball Sponsorship package which includes VIP entry into the ground for 4 people with reserved Grandstand seating, a complimentary half time buffet in the award winning clubhouse, free programme and matchday advertisements.
