CLUB MEMBERS EVENING

In a couple of weeks on the 27th February we will be having a club night for members when we will be holding a Horseracing Evening here in the clubhouse.  The night will consist of 18 races split into three lots of six.  The idea is that you buy money to bet with at the rate of £100 for each £1 and at the end of each six-race session the person with the most money will win the pot of money, and everyone will start again for the next session. It is just a fun night, we are not out to make a profit for club funds, so please try and come along as we have a week without a function so lets make the best of it and have a good fun night out.  Finally today I will ran everyone yet again that club memberships are due in fact overdue, so please see me behind the bar to renew the card and get the correct colour membership card as each year the colour changes.

NEW DATE FOR NEXT SPORTSMAN'S EVENING:

Further to our very successful and much talked about previous Sportsman's evenings, we are now in the process of organising a St Georges Day special. It is to be held on Thursday 22nd April at Homers Heath.... 7:00 til late. 

The guest speaker will be 1966 World Cup winner Nobby Stiles MBE He will be supported by comedian John Stiles, and other attractions on the night include Irish Bingo, horse racing and a sports memorabilia auction. A replica of the 1966 Jules Rimet trophy will be on hand for photos as well as the Champions League trophy.

There will be a three course meal, with special dietary needs including Vegetarians and Gluten free, catered for. We are selling tickets @£40 or tables of ten @ £350.  Sponsorship opportunities are available for the evening, please ask for details.  An ideal opportunity to celebrate St Georges Day and show your patriotism !
