Ian Baker

Ben Williamson Defender DOB: 4-6-77

Captain of Buckland football club. Very rarely puts a foot wrong. A tough tackling defender who loves to lead from the back, has already made 80 league and 12 cup appearances since the SWPL started scoring 3 times, and as yet is still looking to score his first (and only) goal this season. Was with Buckland in our Junior days.

Marc Revell Defender DOB: 11-7-81
Previous Clubs: Bovey Tracey. A gifted defender who caught the eye of the Plymouth Argyle scouts in his 1st season with Buckland Athletic. His game has grown and has this season put in many great displays in the centre of midfield, he has made 75 league and 11 cup appearances since the start of the SWPL scoring 11 goals.

Danny Gaze Midfielder DOB: 25-8-81
Previous Clubs: St Blazey, Launceston, Totnes & Dartington.Danny is spending his 3rd season with the club. His skill and ability is a definite plus for the Buckland faithful, has been playing a left back this season, which has curtailed his scoring ability after he netted 18 times last season has found the back of the net just once this season.  Danny likes nothing better than having a good one to one conversation with a referee and likes to keep them informed to where they are going slightly wrong, however this is much improved this season!

Mike Booth

Liam Drew Defender DOB: 31-1-88
Previous Clubs: Plymouth Argyle, Newton Abbot (for a week), Newton Spurs (for a little longer) Liam is in his 3rd season with the club and is one of the best right backs in the Premier Division, great going forward or defending.  He hasn’t as yet scored a 1st team goal for Buckland.   He is very much a favourite with the club's supporters (my son thinks he is great!).

Mark Young - defender/midfielder : age 21. Prevous clubs: Carlisle United.Mark played the latter part of the season after work commitments landed him in Devon. A keen attacker of the ball started as a left back and has since been pushed further forward.  He has scored 3 league goals and 2-cup goals this season.

Darren Vicary: - age 31 - midfielder. A very skillful playmaker, who has great vision in the middle of the park.  Doesn’t seem to need that much time to play the right ball, would be an asset to any Premier Division side. Darren loves nothing better than a few beers after a game to unwind. Is a keen train spotter

Luke Horricks Defender. Luke came back from university to take his place in the Buckland 1st team this season.  An outstanding defender both good in the air and on the ground, he has a great first touch.  Played for England University’s and has attracted interest from club higher up the football pyramid.  He has already weighed in with four goals this season, and we hope to keep hold of this classy defender.

Gavin Hammon Forward DOB: 2-10-87
Previous Clubs: Chudleigh Athletic, Ottery St Mary. After getting over his nasty leg break the previous season, Gavin came good again last tem. He made 33 league appearances scoring 15 goals, he also scored 3 cup goals. If you give him any time or space he will find the target. Just twenty years old there is more to come from Gavin I’m sure.

Liam Moseley - age 21: Previous Clubs: Torquay United, Taunton Town, Bournemouth and Dawlish Town. Striker. Liam has signed from Stoke Gabriel where he caught the eye with a splendid game in a friendly game last season, scored 25 goals last season.  Was out injured at the beginning of the season when he was injured in pre-season training has come back strong and has made 14 league and cup appearances scoring 4 times.

Antony Lynch-Previous clubs: Liverton United, Taunton Town, Tiverton Town, Dawlish Town.  Prolific marksman who joined towards the end of last season, has really made a difference to the squad this season.  Strong in the air and with the ball at his feet, although he has lost a bit of pace his football brain makes up for it.  Has now scored 22 league goals this season, her is now back to his best form.

Stuart Morgan

Matt Beer Forward
Previous Clubs: Newton Spurs. Matt is a fantastic winger, who has won us many a game with his bullet speed and great deliveries into the box.  Has been used a substitute more this season but has still scored 2 league goals.  He has a bright future in the game, and hopefully that will be with Buckland Athletic.
